Ultrasonic Level 1 & 2

Our Ultrasonic courses meet the 40 hour requirement for Level 1 and the additional 40 hour requirement (80 total) for Level 2 in accordance with ASNT CP-105. Some math skills are required. This course does not fulfill all requirements for certification. An experience requirement under the guidance of a Level 2 or 3 is required to fulfill all requirements in order to be eligible for certification. This course does offer some hands on instruction. Level 1 and level 2 courses are separate classes.

The Level 1 course (40 Hours) contains an introduction and history of ultrasonic testing and then the basic principles of acoustics. Also included in this course is the basic equipment used with the various testing methods and calibration of equipment.

The Level 2 course (40 Hours) begins with a review of the information from the Level I course. It then covers the evaluation of base materials, weldment and bonded structures. It also consists of discontinuity detection which includes: locating, determining size and evaluating.

Liquid Penetrant Level 1 & 2

Our Liquid Penetrant courses meet the 4 hour requirement for Level 1 and the additional 8 hour requirement (12 total) for Level 2 in accordance with ASNT CP-105. We can adjust the class material to meet the requirements of MIL STD 410 and NAS 410 which requires 16 hours for Level 1 and 16 hours for level 2. This course does not fulfill all requirements for certification. An experience requirement under the guidance of a Level 2 or 3 is required to fulfill all requirements in order to be eligible for certification. This course does offer some hands on instruction. Level 1 and 2 course maybe combined into a single 12 or 32 hour class.

The Level 1 class (4 or 16 Hours) covers the history, purpose and basic principles of liquid penetrant testing. It also covers the processing of the different types of penetrant and the methods for qualification of personnel.

The Level 2 Class (8 or 16 hours) covers reviews the information for the Level I course and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of penetrant. A major aspect of this course is the inspection and evaluation of indications.

Magnetic Particle Level 1 & 2

Our Magnetic Particle courses meet the 12 hour requirement for Level 1 and the additional 8 hour requirement (20 total) for Level 2 in accordance with ASNT CP-105. We can adjust the class material to meet the requirements of MIL STD 410 and NAS 410 which requires 16 hours for Level 1 and 16 hours for level 2. Some math skills are required. This course does not fulfill all requirements for certification. An experience requirement under the guidance of a Level 2 or 3 is required to fulfill all requirements in order to be eligible for certification. This course does offer some hands on instruction. Level 1 and 2 course maybe combined into a single 20 or 32 hour class.

The Level 1 class (12 or 16 Hours) covers the basic principles and characteristics of magnets and magnetic fields. It also covers how to select the proper method of magnetization, the basic equipment used and different types of discontinuities that can be detected through magnetic particle inspection.

The Level 2 class (8 or 16 Hours) begins with a review of the information from the Level I course. It then covers the basic principles and theories of magnetic particle inspection and an in depth look at the equipment used in various methods of testing. It also includes types of discontinuities, evaluation techniques as well as evaluation and interpretation of defects.

Visual Inspection Level 1 & 2

Our Visual Inspection courses meet the 8 hour requirement for Level 1 and the additional 16 hour requirement (24 total) for Level 2 in accordance with ASNT CP-105. This course does not fulfill all requirements for certification. An experience requirement under the guidance of a Level 2 or 3 is required to fulfill all requirements in order to be eligible for certification. This course does offer some hands on instruction. Level 1 and 2 courses maybe combined into a single 24 hour class.

The Level 1 Class (8 Hours) covers the introduction to visual inspection with overview of the history followed by the fundamentals and equipment used.

The Level 2 class (16 Hours) a review of the information from the Level I course, this course consists of: an overview of vision and lighting, material attributes, environmental and physiological factors, equipment and acceptance/rejection criteria.

Radiographic Testing Level 1 & 2

Our Radiographic Inspection courses meet the 40 hour requirement for Level 1 and the additional 40 hour requirement (80 total) for Level 2 in accordance with ASNT CP-105. Some math skills are required. This course does not fulfill all requirements for certification. An experience requirement under the guidance of a Level 2 or 3 is required to fulfill all requirements in order to be eligible for certification. This course does offer some hands on instruction. Level 1 and level 2 courses are separate classes.

The Level 1 Class (40 Hours) begins with a radiographic equipment operating and emergency instruction course which includes monitoring devices, exposure devices, emergency procedures, survey instruments and more. It then covers the basics of radiography including the history, fundamental properties, materials and types of radiation, and many other important items.

The Level 2 Class (40 Hours) begins by reviewing important information from the Level I course. It then goes over darkroom facilities and processing techniques. It covers the manufacturing process and the discontinuities associated with it. It also incorporates radiographic evaluation and interpretation.

Radiation Safety

Our Radiation Safety Inspection courses meet the 40 hour requirement for radiographers to work safely with radio Isotopes. Math skills are required. This course does not fulfill all requirements for certification. An experience requirement under the guidance of a Radiographer and or Radiation Safety Office is required to fulfill all requirements in order to be eligible for certification.

The Radiation Safety Course (40 Hours) course covers all aspects of working safely with radiation to limit the dose levels to oneself, fellow technicians, and the general public. ALARA is a key focus as well as the dangers of radiation and its effects on the body and human tissue.

Welder Workmanship Training

Certain military specifications require welders to be trained to be able to visually inspect their welds. This course meets the requirements of the most specifications. Our Welder Workmanship Training courses meet the 8 hour requirement for visual inspection of welds as required in MIL STD 278 and Technical Publication S9074-AR-GIB-010/278. These courses are designed to teach the theory and the applications of the Visual Method of Inspection.
