Your castings can be inspected for both surface and subsurface discontinuities that may have formed during the casting process. Discontinuities that we can inspect for include but are not limited to: shrinkage, gas, cracks and hot tears. Using magnetic particle and liquid penetrant testing NDT can examine casting for surface and slightly subsurface indications. Also by using Radiographic and Ultrasonic testing, NDT can examine casting for subsurface indications. NDT specialist can handle a variety of casting sizes from the miniscule castings weighing few ounces to behemoth casting weighing up to 50 tons!! Our overhead crane is rated for 60 tons and facility is designed for easy loading and unloading of large castings.
